Gloria "Jean"' Tetzloff, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato. She was born on June 18, 1942 in St. Peter to John and Frances (Schoeb) Rehome. First and foremost, Jean loved her husband Bill of 63+ years, spending time with him & holding his hand throughout their life together, her boys, John and Jim were perfect in her eyes too! Jean loved her family and grandchildren dearly and luckily got to meet and hold her newest great grandson just a few months before her death.
In their early family life, they would go up north for vacations enjoying the lake and fishing for hours in the boat or reading books while the boys rode their motorcycles in the Kasota gravel pits. Her and Bill also loved to hop on their motorcycle and take drives around Mankato. Jean loved gardening and always had flowers around her in the yard and on her favorite spot, the porch. She spent lots of time with her grandchildren taking them to parks, the apple orchard and the Dam store for pie, or just reading books to them on the porch. Jean always looked forward to watching her boys (who she said were perfect) and then watching her grandchildren play any sport they were in at the time from preschool to college. Traditions were very important to her. Watching the Vikings, decorating Christmas cookies with her family, playing cards and games with friends and family, and Christmas Eve were some of her favorites. In their retirement years, she and Bill enjoyed traveling and especially their winters away in Florida. Anna Maria Island held a special spot in their hearts, and they passed on that love of the beaches in Florida to their kids.
Jean is survived by her husband, William Tetzloff of Mankato; sons, John (Karen) Tetzloff of Jordan and James (Terry) Tetzloff of Spicer; grandchildren, Mitchell (Allison) Tetzloff of North Mankato, Daniel (Gricel) Tetzloff of North Mankato, Brady (Jessica) Tetzloff of Montgomery, Jeremy Imdieke of Willmar, Jessica (David) Conlin of Willmar, Bethany (John) Danner of Richfield, Lindsey (Nate) Beckman of Paynesville and Emily (Mitchell) Nordahl of Larsen WI; seven great grand-children; two great great grand-children and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, John and Frances (Schoeb) Rehome of St. Peter, Sisters Ginny (Cyril) Biehn of Kasota, Rosemary (Harold) Rausch of St. Peter, and Clarence (Luverne) Rehome of St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato.
