Harry H. Heins, age 94, of Good Thunder passed away peacefully at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato on March 20, 2026.

Harry was born June 5, 1931 along with his twin brother Henry to Carl and Lena (Nelson) Heins in Mankato, MN. Harry graduated from Good Thunder High School in 1949. He entered the Armed Services in May 1954 and served with the U.S. Army Engineers from 1954-1956 with one year of that time in Korea. 

In 1954 he was united in marriage to LaVonne J. (Brunz) Heins. They raised two children, and were blessed with 60 years of marriage. Harry farmed and worked at different agricultural businesses. He is a life member of V.F.W. Post 538 in Mapleton, MN and a member of Good Thunder American Legion 0616. He is a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church, Good Thunder and served as Deacon for many years. Harry also served on the Lyra Township Board for several years.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Gary) FitzSimmons; his son, Howie (Robin) Heins; grandchildren Heather (Adam) FitzSimmons, Kyle (Paige) FitzSimmons, Hunter (Alison) Heins, and Hayden Heins; great-grandchildren Rowen Baggott, Hayley FitzSimmons, and Lorelai Heins; his twin brother, Henry Heins; sister-in-laws Donna Heins, Marion Brunz, Juanita Brunz, and RoxAnne (Jim) Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVonne; sisters Dorothy Eberhart, Shirley Biddle, Marge Barnard, and Marsha Kluevein; brothers Edward and Russel (Bud) Heins; sister-in-laws Janice Heins, Delores Heins; brothers-in-laws Russell Eberhart, Jim Biddle, Harry Barnard, Dale and Dick Brunz, and Jerome Schuldt.

Private family services are planned.
