Hilary "Larry" Eugene Fritz

Hilary “Larry” Eugene Fritz, age 91, of Lakewood, CO passed away on November 11, 2023.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, Good Thunder, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Good Thunder. Livestreaming will be available at www.mankatomortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Memorial Park Cemetery, Good Thunder.

Larry was born on October 29, 1932, in Martin County, MN to Henry and Laura (Wannarka) Fritz. He graduated from Amboy High School in 1950, and then went into the Army from 1953-1955. Larry moved to Denver, CO in 1963 and started working at Coor’s Brewing Co. on April 4, 1963. He married Neva Ann Doss on June 1, 1963. Larry worked for the brewery for 30 years and retired in 1993. Larry and Neva enjoyed hosting company, and always made everyone feel welcome.

Larry played baseball and basketball and was known as one of the famous “Fritz Boys” who played in many town ball leagues. In retirement he liked to fish, golf, bowl, watch all sports, travel, and play cards/games.

Larry is survived by his brother, Marvin Fritz; brothers-in-law, Royce Hiller and Lary Haring; sister-in-law, Marge Doss, many nieces and nephews, and special CO family, Tracy Brannan, and Cassidy Brannan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva Fritz in 2018; parents, Henry and Laura Fritz; sisters, Lucille (Syd) Billingsley and Donna Hiller; brother, Leonard Fritz; in-laws, Earl and Elvera Doss; brother-in-law, Marlyn Doss, and sister-in-law, Beverly Haring.
