Hjordis "Jordy" Elizabeth Vale

Hjordis “Jordy” Elizabeth Vale, age 78, of Mankato passed away at home on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Private family service will be held at a future date. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Hjordis was born on August 22, 1946, to Conrad and Louise Evenson in Marshall, Minnesota. After graduating from Marshall High School in 1964 she attended Golden Valley Lutheran College. Hjordis later became a CNA in Canada, Rochester, and Mankato. Hjordis married David Vale in Rochester in 1970, and together they moved to the Mankato area.

Hjordis is survived by her husband, David of 54 years; one daughter; one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Hjordis was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, and one granddaughter.

Memorials preferred to VINE Adult Community Center.
