James Cutler

James Robert Cutler, age 57, of Lake Crystal, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Lake Crystal American Legion, 600 County Rd 20, in Lake Crystal. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Lake Crystal Mortuary is assisting the family.

Jim was born at home during a snow storm on March, 18, 1965 in Lake Crystal, MN to Edmund and Maxine (Childs) Cutler.  After graduating from Lake Crystal High School in 1983, Jim was a valued and hardworking employee at a number of companies – most recently the LCWM high school.   He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, going camping, boating, and spending time with friends and loved ones.  Jim was a kind and funny man who was loved by many. 

Jim is survived by his wife, Amy Cutler, of Lake Crystal; daughters, Heather Bresser of Mankato and Taylor Tacheny of Lake Crystal; grandchildren, Chet, Henry and Cora; siblings Doug (Gail) Cutler, LuAnn Scharbach, Georgia (Bill) Neubauer, Julie (Curt) Tauer, Ronnie Cutler, and Jane Cutler; brothers-in-law, Mike (Ann) Wagner, Dave (Becky) Wagner, and Mark (Jen) Wagner; mother-in-law, Janice Wagner; pets, Tybee and Ted; many nieces and nephews; and former spouse Rebecca Huberty (Betzing).

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bonnie and Barb; brothers-in-law, Al Scharbach and Rollie Sonnek; niece, Lynn; great-nephew, Maxwell; and father-in-law, Dick Wagner.
