Jan Leslie Lyons, 71 of Madison Lake, Minnesota, passed peacefully at her home of 50 years on Saturday, July 4th, 2026. A visitation on Friday, July 24 will be held from 5pm to 7pm at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, July 25th will begin at 11am, with a visitation one hour before at Northview.

Jan was born in Mankato, Minnesota on November 11, 1954 to Jean and George Beetsch. She was raised in Mankato and after graduating from Mankato High School, she attended SSTC where she worked to attain her LPN degree. Jan went on to work for 49 years as an expert nurse.

Jan (Juanita) married the love of her life, Tom Lyons, on August 16, 1975. Together they were blessed with 2 children, Jennifer and Peter.

Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, especially to her BFFs since high school. She loved sewing, cooking and gardening, and will be remembered for the several varieties of flowers she grew every year.

Above all, Jan loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at the cabin where so many memories were made.

Jan is lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Tom Lyons; children, Jennifer (Damon) Hawker and Peter (Jen Sohn) Lyons; grandchildren, Emma, Blake, Carson, Pierce and Kiya; mother, Jean Beetsch; siblings, Nan (Chuck), Lisa (Jim), Sue, and Joel (Erin); many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jan is preceded in death by her father, George Beetsch and nephew, Luke.
