Jeff Davey

Jul 6, 1985 — Jun 11, 2026

Mankato, MN

Jeff Davey, age 40, of Mankato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home in North Mankato on June 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after his fight against metastatic melanoma.

Jeff was born on July 6, 1985, in Mankato to Bernie and Pam Davey. He grew up alongside his older brother, Chad, and graduated from Mankato East High School in 2004. He continued his education at Bethany Lutheran College before earning his bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

On September 26, 2008, Jeff married his high school sweetheart, Heather Gravley, at Minneopa Park in Mankato. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community and were blessed with three children: Kamryn, Gavin, and Mason.

Jeff worked at Precision Press for 20 years, where he built lasting friendships and was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Jeff loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. More than anything, he loved being a husband and father. He could often be found cheering on his children at volleyball, baseball, football, and track and field events. Whether on the sidelines, in the stands, or offering encouragement at home, Jeff took great pride in supporting his children and creating lasting memories with his family.

Those who knew Jeff will remember his goofy sense of humor, infectious smile, kind heart, incredible strength, and unwavering love for his family. He had a way of making people laugh, even in difficult moments, and faced life's challenges with courage and determination. His faith carried him through every season and remained a source of hope and comfort to those around him.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Heather; his children, Kamryn, Gavin, and Mason; his parents, Bernie and Pam Davey; his brother, Chad Davey, his wife, Allie, and their children, Loralie and Oliver; his grandmother Norma Mielke, his in-laws, Lane and Linda Gravley; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jen and Brandon Knudsvig and their son, Silas; Kiley and Darwin Silva and their sons, Sebi and Niko; and Rachel and Sam Thompson and their children, Tatum, Lynden, Gracie, and Howie; and countless extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato (2000 Howard Drive W, North Mankato, MN 56003). Family and friends are invited to remain after the service for a time of fellowship and continued visitation.

In honor of Jeff's joyful spirit and the happiness he brought to those around him, guests are encouraged to wear color rather than traditional black attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to support Heather and the children as they navigate the days ahead. Donations may be made through the family's GiveSendGo page: https://www.givesendgo.com/supporting-jeff-in-his-melanoma-fight
