Jesse L. Cornish

Jesse L. Cornish, age 76, of Garden City, died on November 24, 2023. 

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be in the Vernon Center Cemetery. 

Jesse was born on October 18, 1947 in Mankato to Jesse F. and Sylvia (Pahl) Cornish.  He grew up in rural Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1965.  After high school, Jesse served in the Army National Guard with the 147^th Viking Division of Minnesota.  On August 15, 1975, Jesse was united in marriage to Bonnie Bruns at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Jesse worked for Survey Services for many years.  He had a love for the outdoors and excelled as a hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed big hunting expeditions with his family.  Jesse loved spending time with his family and most of all, loved being a grandpa. 

Jesse is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Jesse J. (Shelly) Cornish, Brandi (Rick) Miller, and Lucas (Leah) Cornish; 11 grandchildren; sister, Candace Langager; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Rob Langager.
