Jessica Ashley Marie Reedstrom

Jessica “Jess” Ashley Marie Reedstrom, age 35, of North Mankato passed away peacefully at her beloved home on May 1, 2022. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Memorial Service will be at 1 PM, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Crossview Covenant Church, North Mankato with visitation from 12:30-1 PM prior to the service at the church. Jessica was born on April 3, 1987, in Mankato, MN to Dar and Paul Madigan. She grew up in Mankato and enjoyed dance, theater, and spending time and adventuring with many childhood friends. Jessica graduated from Mankato West High School in 2005 and proceeded to attend South Central College where she earned a degree in Marketing. In 2006 she met the love of her life, Kyle at Applebee’s where she worked as a hostess. It did not take long for the two of them to fall in love and begin their life together. Jessica and Kyle married on July 11, 2009, at a beautiful lake side ceremony on Lake Washington.

On January 24, 2010, Jessica started the greatest role of her life, which was being a stay-at-home mom to her four beautiful children. Jessica and Kyle in quick succession welcomed Allie, Evan, Noah, and Rory into their family. Being their mom was Jessica’s greatest joy and accomplishment. She loved and took pride in every aspect of motherhood. Jessica was involved in all their schools from 5 C’s Preschool to Bridges Community School, even serving as co-president at Bridges. Just weeks before her passing she was actively involved volunteering in her son’s kindergarten classroom. She was proud baseball and theater mom, always making sure to be in the front row cheering on her kids.

Not only was Jess an incredible mother and wife, but she was creative, empathetic, giving, funny, joyful, positive, kind, loved music (especially the band Hanson), and was full of love for all. After her first born, Jess began crocheting and it quickly turned into a favorite hobby. Over the years she graced many of her family and friends with her incredible creations. Every inch of her home has been touched by her creativity and talent.

Over the last 5 years the Mankato community has followed and supported her courageous journey with breast cancer. Jessica faced this challenge with grace and dignity. Her positivity throughout all the challenges was an inspiration to many. Jessica may no longer be here on earth, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Jessica is survived by her devoted husband, Kyle; her children and greatest joys, Allie, Evan, Noah, and Rory; her father, Paul Madigan; father and mother-in-law, Dave, and Carol Reedstrom; sister-in-law, Vicki; brother-in-law, Drew; best friend, Anna Reichel; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, friends, and her two fur babies, Penny, and Izzy.
