John Connor

John P. Connor, 87, of Mankato, formerly of Madison Lake, died August 22, 2022 at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Marysburg in rural Madison Lake with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Marysburg. The family prefers memorials be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Marysburg Church. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

John was born March 3, 1935 to William and Josephine (Duane) Connor in Mankato. He attended Marysburg Country School and Cleveland High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1955 during the Korean War.

John married Audrey Handahl in Mankato on January 16, 1970. Together they raised three children, Penny, Timothy, and Tracy on their farm in Jamestown Twp., Madison Lake.

John loved his family, enjoyed his Irish roots, going to farm auctions, reading, and his coffee buddies.

John is survived by his wife, Audrey; children, Penny, Timothy, and Tracy (Kamal Hossain) Connor; sister, Anne Frederick; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane; sisters, Eileen Eustice and Kathleen Mans; and brothers-in-law, Herb Eustice, Myron Mans and Robert Frederick.
