John Vincent Walser

John Vincent Walser, age 68, of Mapleton, died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Mankato Mortuary (1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato). Memorial service will be 2pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior. Graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. John was born November 4, 1954 in Madelia to Charles and Dorothy (Doherty) Walser. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1973. On August 5, 1977, John married Catherine Neubert, and they were blessed with seven children. John was an entrepreneur in the pork industry with a passion for farming. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on Duck Lake.

John is survived by his wife, Cathy Walser; children, Jessica (Jeff) Jacobson, Andy (Lori) Walser, Emily Walser, Laura Walser, Robbie (Mallory) Walser, Nick (Danica) Walser, and Megan (James) Gaulrapp; 20 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
