Judith D. Ebeling

Judith Diane (Cragoe) Ebeling was born on February 17, 1942, to William "Bert" and Grace (Erickson) Cragoe. She attended country school in Magnolia, MN, and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1959. Judy attended Mankato State College for two years. She was united in marriage to Arvid Ebeling on August 26, 1961, in Luverne, MN. Their first child, Wayne, was born in 1962, while they were living in Sioux Falls, SD. They moved to Mankato in 1964; their daughter Joan arrived in 1965, and a second son, Glen, was born in 1969. They built their current home in Eagle Lake, MN, in 1970. The Ebeling family were faithful members of the Eagle Lake Church of Christ where Judy enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Children's Church. She was also involved in the Dorcus Ladies' Society.

Judy was originally a stay-at-home mom during her children's early years. But she went on to work as a waitress at Bridgeman's Restaurant and later as an office support associate at Sears in Mankato. The Ebeling family loved camping, attending the annual EAA Airshow convention in Oshkosh, WI, and staying very involved in their church. Arvid and Judy were very faithful in attending as may of their children's and grandchildren's programs and extracurricular activities as possible.

Arvid and Judy both retired in 2003. During that time, they loved traveling, camping, attending music festivals and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Judy has had the pleasure of enjoying their great-grandchildren as well. They were also able to spend a few winters in Arizona. Judy loved scrapbooking and embroidering baby blankets for the Dorcus Society.

She is survived by her children: Wayne (Valerie) Ebeling of Shakopee, MN; Joan Quiram of Eagle Lake, MN; and Glen (Michelle) Ebeling of Mankato, MN. Grandchildren: Brooke Quiram, Megan (Kevin) Murphy, Taryn (Brian) Cherrier, Alaina Lang, Loren (Rachel) Ebeling, Louis Quiram, and Madeline Ebeling. Great-grandchildren: Makenna, Maleah, Chloe, Christopher, Adam, Kinley, Maura, and twins who are arriving in June 2026. Sisters Janice Johanssen and Karen Buus; sisters-in-law Jean Cragoe and MaReese Cragoe, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvid; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald; one sister-in-law, Joyce Burk; and two brothers-in-law, Vernon Buus and William Burk.

Judy was a wonderful, selfless and giving person, and she will be missed by all of those who loved her.
