Karen Ann Bresser

Karen Ann Bresser (Henry), 70, was called to heaven, peacefully, on May 1, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 4 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior.

Karen was born February 11, 1954, to Lauren and Shirley Henry. She grew up and graduated high school, in 1972, in Lake Crystal.  This is where she met the love of her life, Michael Bresser.

Karen and Mike wed in 1973 and spent over 54 years together in complete love and devotion. They had three children and seven grandchildren. She attended college at MSU and obtained a Paralegal associate degree. Karen started her career as a paralegal for the Blue Earth County Attorney’s Office and worked at several other law offices throughout her career. Her career was completed as an insurance claims adjuster, and she happily retired at 62 years old.

Karen loved traveling, water/sunsets, and shopping. She was always looking for a good deal and the hunt for the deal. Karen and Mike designed and built several homes together and resided on Madison Lake for 24 years. Karen loved playing cards! She was in card club for 35+ years with an amazing group of friends. She was funny, witty, and offered the best advice – “Take it or leave it!”

Karen’s family was everything to her and she enjoyed every second she had with them. She leaves behind her husband, Mike; children, Jason (Brie), Kevin, and Nicole (Nicholas); grandchildren, Griffin, Gretta, Chet, Henry, Cora, Ivy and Carter; brother, Greg as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Karen has been reunited in heaven with her parents, Lauren and Shirley; brother, Dave; three infant siblings, Barbara, Patricia, and Mark; in-laws, Robert and Viola Bresser, and brother-in-law, Mark.

Karen courageously fought brain cancer for 4+ years. We want to give a special Thank You to Mayo and the entire staff that gave us more time together. Any donations can be made to the cancer research of your choice. More than anything, give your time and love to someone fighting cancer.
