Kathleen M. Christensen

Kathleen M. Christensen, age 65, of Mankato, died March 13, 2023.

Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local pet shelter.  Kathleen had such a deep love for cats, this would have meant the world to her.

Kathleen was born August 25, 1957, to Val Jean and Adeline Christensen.  She graduated from Cleveland High School and had a wonderful opportunity to travel overseas in her younger years before eventually becoming a Doctor of Psychology.  She spent many years working for Southwestern Mental Health Center in Worthington, MN.  She then transitioned into private practice at Riverview Clinic, finishing out her career with Eunoia Family Resource Center.

Kathleen was so creative and enjoyed quilting along with creating personal crafts and art projects.  She loved to spend time with friends and family and always made the holidays such a joy for those around her.  Her positive energy will be missed by all.  Thank you to all that have reached out and shared stories.

Kathleen is survived by her siblings, Richard of Montana and Becky (Robert) Miller of North Mankato; three nieces, Candice Thomas, Carrie (Dustin) Ehlers, and Libby Christensen; great niece and nephews, Grace, Collin, and Everett.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and brother, Paul.
