Kimberly A. Rydeen

Kimberly (Kim) Ann Heller Rydeen, age 56, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the people closest to her after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Kim was born in Mankato, Minnesota, on April 18, 1970, to parents Judith (Mann) and Gary Heller. She was a part of the first graduating class at Lake Crystal Wellcome-Memorial in 1988, she then pursued her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at Mankato State University and became a registered nurse. As a registered nurse Kim lovingly served in many nursing roles in the Rochester, Saint Peter, and Mankato areas with a passion for geriatric care, ending her nursing career with Moments Hospice. Kim left a lasting impact on many colleagues, evident through many encounters with healthcare providers who cared for her during her illness.

Kim was very strong in her Catholic faith, growing up a part of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato, where she was baptized and confirmed. She is currently a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, where she attended mass regularly and received the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick July 19, 2026. Kim had profound inner peace knowing she lived out Christ's teachings and placed her soul in God's hands until her last breath.

Kim was blessed with the greatest gift of all - motherhood. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Grady and Grace, who were the center of her world and her proudest accomplishment. She poured her heart into raising them with unwavering support and endless encouragement. Watching them grow brought her immeasurable joy. There was nothing more she loved than being their mom. Later in life she met Patrick (Pat) Kaderlik of Cleveland, Minnesota, with whom she built a life filled with love, laughter and treasured memories.

Kim shared many hobbies with the special people in her life. She enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting and fishing, thrifting, attending sporting events while her kids were in high school, and had a special love for gardening, cooking, baking and taking care of her chickens. Kim was especially happy with a prize turkey she hunted on her 53rd birthday. She loved sunrises, hot coffee in the morning and the company of her dogs. Kim had the most amazing attitude towards life, finding solace in the beauty of nature.

Kim is survived by her children Grady Rydeen of Saint Peter and Grace Rydeen of Mankato; partner Patrick Kaderlik of Cleveland; bonus family Samuel (Mazie) Kaderlik and their son Bowen of Saint Peter and Theresa Kaderlik of Northfield; mother Judy Heller of Rapidan; siblings Kevin (Dulcey) Heller of Saint Louis Park, Corey (Shannon) Heller of Rapidan, Lisa (Brian) Hopkins of Rapidan, Jared (Shannon) Heller of Ankeny, IA, Bret (Keri) Heller of Mankato; aunts Lorie Wendts, Patricia "Pat" (Glen) Herber, Donna Lund, Joan Strand, Mary David, Judy Groth; Lyle (Terry) Mann and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kim is preceded in death by her father Gary Heller; maternal grandparents Dorothy and Paul Mann; and paternal grandparents Evelyn and Curtis Heller; uncle Jim "James" Mann, Carl Wendt and Larry Heller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 8th 2026, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with Fr. Robert Schnieder officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6:30 p.m., Friday at Northview- North Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Inurnment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Marysburg.

With grateful hearts, Kim's family would like to extend a special thank you to Mayo Clinic Rochester and Mayo Clinic Health System Oncology teams, Ecumen Hospice, and Dr. Eric Strovick of Mankato Clinic for their loving care and attention through every step of her cancer journey.
