Lacy Keith Wilkins

October 10, 1950 — October 29, 2025

Mankato, Minnesota

Lacy Keith Wilkins, 75, of Mankato, MN, passed away on October 29, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Lacy spent much of his life in Savannah, Georgia, before moving to Texas, Florida, and eventually calling Mankato home. A 13-year U.S. Army veteran, he served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. For more than 20 years, Lacy worked at Hy-Vee in Mankato, where he was known for his enduring friendships, strong work ethic, and quick wit.

Lacy was a lifelong sports fan — a devoted Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan. Earlier this year, the Yankees honored Lacy on the field at Yankee Stadium, recognizing him as the Veteran of the Game. Later in life, Lacy became an even bigger fan of his grandchildren’s teams and events. Whether it was volleyball, soccer, or anything else, “Grandad” was there in the stands, cheering the loudest.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilkins; and brother, Gary Wilkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Tami Wilkins; his mother, Louise Wilkins; children, Dave Beilstein (Kathy), Michael Ly (Kristine), Casey Adams (Michael T.), Robert Wilkins, Thomas Wilkins (Stephanie); as well as his beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Jared, Justin, Kevin, Morgan, Montana, Marley, Stryker, Mckenzie, Carter, and Elena.

A celebration of Lacy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Floyd Roberts Jr. Pavilion, at Land of Memories Park, in Mankato. A brief eulogy and open microphone will begin at 3:30 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to drop by to share stories, laughter, and memories.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a veteran service organization or the Osman Shriners.
