Landen Storm Blaschko

Landen Storm Blaschko, age 20 passed way on a stormy Monday July 10, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m., Tuesday July 18, 2023 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter at a later date.

Landen Storm Blaschko was born in Mankato, Minnesota on a stormy day on October 4, 2002. He grew up in Mapleton and Faribault, Minnesota eating bugs and chasing his sister Jazmine, with them.  He went to Bridges Elementary School, Maple River Middle School and graduated from high school there.  He worked at the Mapleton Community Home while attending High School.  After graduation, he got a job at Eroguard.  He later wanted to learn a trade and went back to Mapleton Community Home as maintenance man.

Landen loved being outside doing any sport, game, or activity, and shooting bottle rockets into the sky with his brothers, Tyler and Josh.  He loved swimming in the lakes and chasing after frogs in the Summer.  He was always splashing in the puddles after the rain to catch worms, to go fishing with dad.  He enjoyed snowboarding in the winter, ice fishing and eating plenty of icicles.  Landen loved making fresh microwave popcorn with extra butter and watching movies with mom.  His preferred music was rap.  After hearing Eminem for the first time, he would “spit bars,” and burst out beats at random.  Maybe that’s why spaghetti was his favorite food.  He would eat it every day if he could.  Along with any peanut butter treat and chocolate milk to wash it down.

Landen had a smile that could light up the room.  He was the kind of person that was shy at first, then once he got to know you, he was all jokes and good humor.  He will be forever in our hearts.

Landen is survived by his father, Jesse (Marcy) Blaschko; mother, Courtney Blaschko; sister, Jazmine Blaschko; sisters, Alex and Madelyn; brothers, Tyler and Joshua; grandmothers, Denise (Dave Iveland) Blaschko and Teresa Pfeffer; great-grandmother, Joan Blaschko; uncles and aunt, Chad Pfeffer, Jacob Iveland and Liz (Dustin) Berentson, and many more uncles, aunts and cousins.

Preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Pfeffer, aunt, Gina Blaschko; and great grandparents, Walter ”Bud”, Dorothy Nase and LeRoy Blaschko.
