Lindsey Rae Knutson

Lindsey Rae Knutson, age 31, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 26, 2024. 

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Hosanna prior to the service.   Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Kelly Knutson, Stephanie (Zitterich/Knutson) Adams, and brother, Justin, excitedly welcomed Lindsey to this world on April 3, 1993, in Mankato. Lindsey was baptized at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on May 9, 1993, and confirmed at Hosanna Lutheran Church on May 20, 2007. She graduated from Mankato West High School in 2011. Lindsey went on to receive her BSN degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 2019. Since then Lindsey has been a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus, in the medical/thoracic unit.

Lindsey was a precious soul and a sweet, caring young woman who was a joy to have in our lives. Her beautiful smile and sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day. We were told her patients appreciated her sincere kindness and wrote notes expressing their gratitude. 

 The sun and the beach called to her and always boosted her spirits. Lindsey enjoyed hiking, bicycling, traveling, and being outdoors. Growing up Lindsey loved to dance and was active in Dance Express and Orchesis dance teams. She loved all animals. Ravin, Willow, Gohan, and Matilda, were her most recent loves. 

Left to cherish her memory are her parents and brother; stepparents Douglas Adams and Julie Knutson; her stepsiblings Cory (Jenny), Josh (Jackie), Clint (Laurie), and Cody (Erin) Adams, Stacie (Nick) Gibson, Jared (Julieanne), Jacob (Brooke) Kral, Jenna (Landon) Rewitzer, and Brandon Johnson (fiancé, Michaela Nelson); many nephews and nieces; aunts Marlene, Dee, and Francine, and uncles Kerry, Dan and David.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Justin and Hazel Zitterich, Jim and Darla Knutson, and Tom and Connie Adams; uncle Kim Knutson; and aunt and uncle Linda and Tom Richards.
