Marian Jane Thomas, age 92, of rural Cambria, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her home.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., February 12, 2026 at the Cambria Presbyterian Church with Rev. Penny Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., February 12, at the church. Interment will be at the Cambria Cemetery. Lake Crystal Mortuary is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Cambria Presbyterian Church.
Marian Jane was born August 2, 1933, at home on the family farm in Judson Township, Blue Earth County, to David L. and Margaret V. (Jones) Dackins. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1951. Marian worked as a legal secretary for Smith, McLean, and Peterson Law Office in Mankato.
Marian was united in marriage to Harold “Frosty” J. Thomas on August 18, 1955, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal. They moved to the Thomas family farm where she was a farmwife, helped on the farm, and raised their three children.
Marian was a member of the Cambria Presbyterian Church, former session member, deacon, secretary of the Presbyterian Women, and was on the serving committee. She was a past 4-H leader and secretary of the Cambria Cemetery Association.
Marion enjoyed her family, friends, shopping, and traveling.
Marian is survived by her three children, Jim Thomas of rural Hanska, Debra Bradley of Hutchinson, and Vicky Thomas (special friend, Chris Krouskop) of Reno, NV; many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold “Frosty” in 2016; son-in-law, Michael Bradley; three sisters, Dorothy (Ken) Duffey, M. Elizabeth (Elmer) Riewe, and Elaine (Burton) Skramstad; niece, Jane Thomas; two nephews, William “Bill” Olson and Paul Riewe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Donald) Olson, Vern (Jean) Thomas, Doris (Robert) Eigenbrodt, and Eugene (Phyllis) Thomas; and other extended family members.
