Marilyn Ann Sieberg (nee Phillips), age 91, passed away, January 13, 2026.
Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 19, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Church, Madison Lake. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive and will continue one hour before service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in All Saints Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake.
Marilyn was born January 5, 1935, in Mankato to Ted and Mary (Schmitz) Phillips. She was the youngest of 6 children. She graduated from Rapidan High School in 1953. She helped on the family farm until October 4, 1955, when she married Donald L. Sieberg at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. They farmed for 38 years at Neary’s 9-mile corner raising 12 children. They moved off the farm to the east edge of Mankato. Marilyn then worked as a housekeeper at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital from 1991-2002. She also enjoyed driving Don in multiple parades with various bands from 2002-2018. She enjoyed watching grandkids, cross stitching and bird watching.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 70 years, Don and their 12 children, Ernie (Lisa) Sieberg, Theresa (Owen) Dickey, Pat (Duane) Willaert, Jerome (Julie) Sieberg, Andy (Natalie) Sieberg, Annette (Gregg) Nelson, Leon (Laura) Sieberg, Ben (Faith) Sieberg, Paul (Peggy) Sieberg, Bruce (Katie) Sieberg, Joanie (John) Hausladen, Lori (Andy) Walser; 40 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Martha Phillips, Betty Goettl; brother-in-law, Tom (Kathy) Sieberg; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandsons, Nathan Petrowiak, Blake Burns and Jude Jewison; brothers, Eldred (Mary) Phillips, Norbert (Tillie) Phillips, Joe Phillips, Neal (Darlene) Phillips; sister, Sister Mary Joan Phillips, SSM; brothers-in-law, Curtis (Adeline) Sieberg and Stanley Goettl.
