Marjorie Shubert

Marjorie Shubert, age 88, of Mapleton, died on June 24, 2023, at The Pillars in Mankato. 

Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Mapleton with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Mapleton.  Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Moments Hospice of Mankato.

Marjorie was born on June 13, 1935, in Pipestone, MN to Milton and Dena (Freese) Backlund.  On March 9, 1957, Marjorie was united in marriage to Donald Shubert in Pipestone.  Marjorie worked as a dental assistant for many years for Dr. Disney and Dr. Taylor.  After retirement, Marjorie and Don wintered in Arizona for 20 years.  She enjoyed playing bridge, fishing, watching MN sports teams, and listening to classic country. 

Marjorie is survived by son, Michael (Peggy) Shubert and their children, Matthew and Joseph; daughter, Patty Osmundson and her children, Dania (Chris) Helgeson and Michael Osmundson and his fiancé, Ashlee Lundberg; son, Robert (Lisa) Shubert and their children, Sam and Nick; sisters-in-law, Orphadel and Rosalie; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and grandson, Patrick Shubert.  

The family would like to thank the staff at The Pillars and Moments Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Marjorie.
