Mark Phillip Daby

Mark Phillip Daby, age 85 of Mankato, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at Hilltop UMC in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, September 28th at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.

Mark Daby was born September 20, 1937, to Ben and Marvel (Jessup) Daby in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1956 and from Mankato State in 1958. Mark began a 40-year career with District 77 schools ending up in charge of building and grounds before retiring.

Mark is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Dianne (Mans) Daby; daughter, Ellen (John) Butorac of Ramsey; son Jeremy (Jenny) Daby of Mankato; daughter-in-law,Kendra Daby of Mankato; six grandchildren, Emily (Stephen) Cassin, Molly (Troy) Flategraff, Jamie, Mackensie, Isaiah, and Henry; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Eleanor and Charlotte;; sister, Myrna Winkelman; sister-in-law, Donna (Allen) Pederson; many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Todd and Aaron; three sisters, Sharon, Gere, and Vonne.
