Mary Ann Waldron

Mary Ann Waldron, age 81, passed away on June 17, 2020, in her home in Mankato, Minnesota. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Ayshire, Iowa, where Mary Ann will be interred alongside her parents; and infant brothers, Ralph and Eddie Waldron.  Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences can be left at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Mary Ann was born on February 23, 1939 to Peter F. and Mary E. (Conry) Waldron in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Mary Ann grew up in the Sherburn, Minnesota area and graduated from high school there.  She received her teaching degree from Northwestern Missouri State University and taught elementary school children for many years in Britt and Estherville, Iowa.   Mary Ann was a lifelong teacher and learner.  In recent years, she authored five children’s books, Can Candy Save Christmas, Can Any Bunny be an Easter Bunny, All Messy and Sticky, A Wee Bit of Irish Lace, and Nellie’s Right to Vote.  Mary Ann will be missed by many beloved family, friends, and caregivers.

Mary Ann is survived by many cousin and friends.
