Mary "Pat" Bauer

Mary “Pat” Bauer, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Respecting her wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato, followed by private family burial in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mary “Pat” was born on August 14, 1933, in Waseca, MN to William and Iva “Beth” (Murphy) Amberg. She graduated in 1951 from Mankato High School. She was united in marriage to Clarence Bauer on July 11, 1953, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Together they raised three children, Steven, Cynthia, and Lisa. Mary “Pat” had a long career at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and Mankato Citizens in which she held various positions.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia “Cindy” and David Cole and Lisa and Dave Wolf; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Nathaniel Wolf, Amber Wolf (Christian Cano) and honorary grandchild, Levi Leskey; great-grandchildren, Jayda, Joslyn, and Jovey Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; son, Steven; and her brothers, Chuck Amberg, Bob Glashan, and Wally Glashan.

She characterized her life by her strong faith and her love for her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
