Mary Louise Stone passed away on May 20, 2026 after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born August 4, 1942 in Duluth, MN to James B. and Louise A. (Mattson) Ross. In 1977, Mary moved with her husband to West Concord, MN to take over a poultry farm from a cousin. Starting in 2003, the couple managed a condominium community in downtown Minneapolis. In retirement they moved to Madison Lake, MN and enjoyed many adventures with their children and grandchildren. She was always a steadfast loving, patient, and supportive presence in her family's lives.

Mary is survived by daughter Jill Ryan of Madison Lake, MN, son Ken Ryan (Sue Kee) of Rochester, MN, daughter Annie Stone of St. Paul, MN, and son Rob Stone (Trisha) of Winnebago, MN; grandchildren, Krissy (Jennings) Brommerich, Joe Ryan (Stacy Mensink), Leah (Anthony) Lovejoy, Alan Liudahl, and Bentley Stone; great-granddaughter, Hailey Ryan; sister-in-law Terry Ross of Superior, WI; sister-in-law Frances Tierney of Eden Prairie, MN, sister-in-law Lorre Stone of Phoenix, AZ, sister-in-law Sandie Stone of Green Valley, AZ; and brother-in-law Kurt Stone (Denise) of Rapid City, SD; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by husband Robert Stone; parents, James and Louise Ross; in-laws Horace and Agnes Stone; brother James Ross Jr.; brother-in-law Peter Tierney, brother-in-law, Tom Kramer.

No formal service will be held per Mary's wishes. A family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
