Born on August 9, 1992 in Albert Lea, MN and soon after moved to Mankato, MN where she graduated from Mankato East High School in 2011. Hosanna Lutheran Church was a big part of Megan’s life growing up, she traveled on numerous mission trips, always with her best friend, Angela Substad. She also tagged along with Angela’s dad, Todd Substad, on his mission trips with Jackson Lake Lutheran. Megan had a caring heart for kids, evident through work opportunities and time spent with the kids who lived in the areas of her mission trips.

She began her extensive college education at Minnesota State - Mankato where she earned her BS and Master’s Degree. To obtain her doctorate degree in Audiology, she attended Central Michigan University. Loma Linda Clinic in Riverside, CA offered her a 1 year externship and she was then hired as a full-time audiologist. Megan was very passionate about her job at the VA clinic. She adored her patients, and excelled in other roles management entrusted her with. She received two promotions in her short four years with the VA clinic. As much as Megan missed her family at home in MN, she absolutely loved the mountains and oceans in CA. When Megan made the move, she packed up a few belongings, bought a tent, and took her time driving herself there exploring along the way, and sleeping in parks to rest before the next adventure. Once in CA, she found many National Parks and many mountain trails within CA and the surrounding states. She had an eye for photography, you can see all her adventures posted on her Instagram account, drmegs2.0 Megan will be deeply missed, and will live on forever in our hearts.
