Melanie Jane Johnson

Melanie Jane Johnson, age 61, of Mankato, went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 7, 2020 in her home.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15 at Grace Baptist Church, Mankato from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and the funeral at 1:00 pm.   Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery following the funeral service.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Melanie was born June 6, 1959 in Clinton, IA to Frank and Lucille (Vath) Baker of Fulton, IL.  She was united in marriage with Charles Johnson on July 16, 1983 in Dubuque, IA.  She raised and homeschooled their three children.  Melanie loved children and was involved in church ministries.  She enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling, and baking bread and cookies to give away.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Charles; children: Amanda, Benjamin and Caroline; son-in-law, Tim Watkins; and five grandchildren.
