Michael “Mick” A. Hoffman, age 53, died Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Memorial Service for Mick will be held at 11:00 a.m., April 13, 2024, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. on April 13. Memorials in his honor may be given to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mankato.
Mick was born on October 25, 1970, in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1989 where he enjoyed playing football and baseball. After high school, he took some time off to work. In December 2005, he graduated from South Central College with an Associate of Arts in Network Administration. After graduating, he worked at several local businesses including Fun.com, Busters Sports Bar Grill, Mankato Civic Center, Coloplast, and MICO.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where he was part of their softball team and the Dartball league; he won the Rookie of the Year Award for dartball in 2018-2019. Outside of church, he was a member of the Iron Order Motorcycle Group.
Some of Mick’s favorite things to do were watching sports, especially the Vikings and the Twins, dog sitting (Shadow and Duke), and listening to Metallica. However, there was nothing that he loved more than his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle.
Mick is survived by his four children, Baxter (Natasha) Hoffman, Baily (William) Hullopeter, Jacquelyn Ann Hoffman (Matthew Cole), and Katie Jo Hoffman (Isaac True); seven grandchildren, Connor, Colten, Scarlett, Madden, Violet, Quinn, and Grace; parents, Michael and Jan Hoffman; brother, Cliff Kopischke (Tami Sargent); Aunt Linda Meyer, who was close to his healing process from the traumatic brain injury that he survived in 2018; his dogs, Shadow and Duke; well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Mick was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Hoffman; his grandma, Betty Oelkers; and his faithful fur companions, Shelly and Fritz.
