Michael Quinn, age 82, of Mankato, died peacefully on June 3, 2025 at his home.

Mike was born on July 25, 1942 in Bridgewater, S.D. to William and Helen (Fogle) Quinn. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Mitchell, S.D. and from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D. majoring in drama. Mike enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966. He was stationed in Turkey and served in the physical exam center. Mike made many friends living in San Francisco and Fairbanks, AK. He was united in marriage to Kathy on August 23, 1974 in Fairbanks. They moved to Mankato in 1980. Mike retired after working many years at Spartech Plastics. Mike loved listening to live music and was an avid Grateful Dead fan. He enjoyed reading, watching birds, sweet treats, and watching baseball, especially cheering on the Twins. He also enjoyed comic books and games, including video games and playing cards. Mike was always open to new things, anything that brought him joy. He loved time spent with his wife, boys, and granddaughter.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Brendan and Ryan Quinn; granddaughter, Athena Quinn; brother, Tom (Melinda Grant) Quinn; sister, Cynthia Matthews; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Beerling; brother and sister-in-law, Steve Hartwell and Pam (Roozen) Hartwell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Bruce Waterston.
