Myrna Gieser Braun

Myrna Gieser Braun, age 72, of Mankato, died on May 25, 2021 at her home. 

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the Sherburn Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Myrna was born on August 26, 1948 in Fairmont to Raymond and Marie (Harries) Dunker. She was united in marriage to Gerald Gieser on June 25, 1965.  After Gerald died in 1998, she was united in marriage to Lynn Braun on July 1, 2000.  Myrna worked at Midwest Foods and Pearl Vision.  She retired from Carlson-Tillisch Eye Clinic.  Myrna was a great cook and an excellent baker.  Everyone enjoyed her Christmas cookies and candies.  Myrna most enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Myrna is survived by her husband, Lynn of Mankato; son, James (Michelle) Gieser of Baltimore, MD; step-daughters, Candi (Mike) Scott of Elysian, Cari (Vic) Prado of Denver, and Roberta (Tom) Carmody of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jacob Gieser, Jessica Gieser, Daniel Gieser, Christopher Oachs, Jaxen Gieser, Anderson Gieser, and Bennett Gieser; great-grandchildren, Mason Gieser and Aubrey Mulligan; five step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; sister, Gayleen (Ed) Woizeschke of Windom; brothers, Don Dunker of Windom and Gary (Florence) Dunker of Mountain Lake; sister-in-law, Linda Dunker of Windom; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Nelsen; step-son, Mark Braun; brothers, Kent Dunker and Gayle Dunker; sisters, Lorray and Lauralee Dunker.
