Nancy Delores Hollerich, 62, passed away on January 9, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato surrounded by her family while holding her parent’s Memory Bears.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Friday January 14, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Good Thunder, MN with Reverend John Kunz officiating. Interment will be in Barnard Valley View Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, from 4-7 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to Harry Meyering Center or Blue Earth County Fair Board. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Nancy was born November 20, 1959 to Peter and Bernette Hollerich in Mankato, MN. She was welcomed home by her 7 siblings with two more siblings joining her in the next 6 years. She was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Good Thunder. Cousins, Judy Trubenbach and Marvin Schroeder were godparents.

Nancy graduated from Wellcome Memorial High School, Garden City in 1980. She lettered in track for two years as their Manager. Nancy was trained by MRCI & then worked for the Fredrick’s Family businesses - Ruttles, Happy Chef, and she ended her career and retired from Pub 500. She also was involved in Special Olympics, Craft Club, & Ceramics.

For many years, Nancy was very proud that she was able to live independently in her own apartment in Mankato. She never learned to drive but was able to take the bus by herself to work. (Even though she didn’t drive, she was very verbal at telling you how to drive.) Every Friday, a family member would pick Nancy up in Mankato and she would spend the weekend at the farm with her Mom and Dad.

Some of Nancy’s “Loves” included Pepsi, all animals, Diamond - her cat, Family, precious new babies in the family, and the color purple. She loved participating and going to the Blue Earth County Fair. In her earlier 4-H years, she showed chickens and sheep, gardening, and canning. Recently she had been entering her sewing, baked goods, and plants in Open Class.

She loved to eat and enjoyed having her siblings join her at Harry Meyering Center on holidays. Her family enjoyed time with her and her housemates - Kim and Dean.

In the past 5 years, Nancy’s health had been declining. Nancy was unable to walk but she was super excited when a new electric wheelchair was ordered for her. We apologize to the maintenance department for the many wall dings & her driving skills.

The Family would like to thank: Harry Meyering staff, Frederick Family businesses, Julie Hudrlik, advocate, for all their support and love to Nancy throughout the years.

Nancy is survived by 2 brothers - Don (Jennifer) Hollerich, Dave (Pam) Hollerich; 7 sisters - Mary (Roger) Scheurer, Joan Robbins, Barb (Mike) Lynch, Sue (Calvin) Baarts, Kathy (Larry) Caven, Teresa (Mark) Depuydt, Lori (Scott) Friedrichs; aunt and uncle, Roseanne and Norm Carlson; 26 nieces and nephews; 45 great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter (2009) and Bernette (2017); sister-in-law, LuAnn (DeWitz) Hollerich; brother-in-law, Jim Robbins; great-niece, Hannah Rysavy; aunts, uncles, cousins and her cat, Diamond.
