NancyLee Caley, 64, of Waseca, passed away in Mankato surrounded by her loving family on May 24, 2025.
A private celebration of her life will be held in her home at a later date.
NancyLee was born on September 26, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Laurence W. Simpson and Nancy Simpson (Parrish). A dedicated medical assistant, NancyLee was not only a professional in her field but also a passionate advocate for others. She found profound joy in coaching for the Special Olympics, where her spirit and encouragement inspired countless individuals as well as her work with persons with special needs. Her passions extended across many pursuits, including photography, boating, travel, movies, concerts, fishing, crocheting, making Sunday dinners for her family and bowling, reflecting her zest for life and love for adventure. She was the most amazing kind hearted "Philly" girl that ever lived! Her favorite Holiday was Christmas she cherished one special ornament that will be persevered and hung on the tree every year in her memory!
NancyLee is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Craig Caley; daughter, KellyLee Farina; son, Derrik Lee Young; grandson, Michael Tyler Harrison; loving sister, Joanne Delaney; sister, Kathy; brother, Laurence; mother-in-law, MaryLu Caley; brother and sister in-laws, Allan, Brian Nancy, Sue, and Betsy; fur babies: "Mama's Girl" Evie, "Mama's Yittle Man" Gizmo, "100% Good Boy" Max, "Puppy Cat" Romeo, and "Itty Bitty" Serenity; and many nieces, nephews, and friends
She was preceded in death by her father, Laurence W. Simpson; her mother, Nancy Simpson (Parrish); her father-in-law, Clifford Caley; her sister, Karen; and her brother, Lawrence.
NancyLee leaves behind the warmth of her laughter, the wisdom of her words, the love of a wife, mother, friend and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
