Norma Corinne Nelson, age 75, went home to be with Jesus on March 2, 2021 after a 15+ year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Norma met Bob at Wilson High School in St Paul. They started dating after high school for four years before being married August 20, 1967. Norma and her uncle Paulus were instrumental in helping lead Bob to faith in Jesus during that year. In 1967, Norma graduated with a B.S. from the University of Minnesota with a high distinction. Norma taught 2nd grade at Falcon Heights Elementary for 6 years before devoting herself full time to her family and being the hands and feet of Jesus to other people.
They moved to Mankato in 1976 and joined the Covenant Church in 1978. She played piano, organ, led mission trips, taught Sunday school, and was active in evangelism explosion. She was an active leader in Bible Study Fellowship for almost 20 years. Norma had a passion for prayer, reading and studying God's Word, and sharing her faith in Jesus with all her neighbors, friends, and family.
