Pal Mat Kueth

Pal Mat Kueth, 18 of Mankato, unexpectedly died on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  The cause of his sudden death is still unknown.

For his friends, colleagues, and relatives, visitation will be on October 1, 2021, at North Mankato Mortuary from 4:00-7:00 PM.   A Celebration of life will begin at 9:30 AM, October 2, 2021, with the memorial service to begin at 10:30 AM at Crossview Covenant Church, North Mankato, Minnesota.

Pal was born in Minneapolis, MN on December 03, 2002, to Mat Pal Kueth and Nyapak Tang Wuol. He was the oldest of seven children and the first born to the family. Pal was loved deeply by his parents, siblings and other relatives.  Pal attended Mankato East high school and graduated on June 4^th, 2021.  At East High School, Pal’s teachers, coaches, teammates, and classmates admired his positive attitude and self-discipline.  As a person, Pal always put other people first and valued the guidance of his family, coaches, and teachers.

Pal was amazing young man gone too soon and accomplished so much in so little time.  As we celebrate his life, we remember his achievements. Pal liked to play video game with his younger brothers: Tharjiath and Tang.  However, his true passion belonged to the game of basketball.  Gifted With natural talent, Pal played varsity basketball and lettered each of his four years of high school. He helped the Cougars win the Big Nine Conference for two consecutive seasons and was named all-conference-Honorable Mention for the 2018-19 season.  In his Senior year, Pal will be remembered for hitting the last second buzzer beater from three-point range to beat cross-town rivals Scarlets.

Pal is survived by his mother, Nyapak Tang Wuol; Father, Mat Pal Kueth; step father, Tugul Diew; step mother, Nyaduer Gerwarth Joak; brothers, Tharjiath, Tang, Mandela and Emmanuel; Sisters Nyaruot and Nyaduach; step brothers and sisters; and other relatives.

Pal was preceded in death by four uncles, and two grand fathers.
