Patricia Ann (Hoffman) Cray, age 88, of Mankato, died Friday, August 4, 2023 at New Perspective Senior Living in Mankato.


Funeral service will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in North Mankato with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Please share a memory of Pat with her family and watch her service livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com.

 

Memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayo Hospice, or to the American Cancer Society.

 

Patricia was born September 12, 1934 in Mankato to Roy Harold and Olga Clara (Flitter) Hoffman. After graduating from high school, she was united in marriage to Darwin D. Cray on September 20, 1953 in North Mankato. Pat and Dar were blessed with seven children. She was a faithful volunteer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, active participant in Hiway Wives card club, and avid bowler for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling and was proud to have visited all 50 states. In retirement, they wintered in Arizona. Pat also enjoyed watching golf or baseball on TV.

 

Patricia is survived by her children, Deborah (Stanley) Wills of Cleveland, Steven (Jane) Cray of North Mankato, Gregory (friend, Denise) Cray of Victoria, Brian (Brenda) Cray of Cypress, TX, Thomas (Patricia) Cray of North Mankato, and James (Lisa) Cray of Savage; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Way of Woodbury and Gene (Carolyn) Hoffman of Hastings; son-in-law, Dennis Leiding of Mapleton; and several extended family members.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Olga (Flitter) Hoffman; husband, Darwin Cray; daughter, Joni Cray Leiding; daughter-in-law, Janet Cray; father- and mother-in-law, Archie and Myrtle Cray; brother, Allan Hoffman; and 4 grandchildren.
