Pauline (Pollie) Anne Luther, 68, of North Mankato, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1956, in Gaylord, Minnesota, to the late Don and Ione Burroughs.
Pollie graduated from Gibbon High School in 1974 and went on to earn her degree from North Dakota State University in 1979. On October 15, 1988, Pollie was united in marriage to Steve Luther. She had a successful career as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, working at various healthcare facilities in St. Cloud; Willmar; LaCrosse, WI; the Regional Kidney Disease Program in Minneapolis; Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital; and the Mankato Clinic. After retirement, she continued her passion for educating others as a consultant for Tandem Insulin Pumps.
In her free time, Pollie enjoyed tandem cycling, curling, garage sales, shopping, geocaching, traveling, dogs, jewelry, and chocolate. She was also an avid fan of Twins baseball and Maverick hockey.
Pollie is survived by her loving husband, Steve, siblings Cate (Steve), Mary (Jim), Maggie (Jeff), Bob (Lynda), Beth (Mike), in-laws Beckie (Ty), Linnette, Jerry (Kathy), Todd (Larisa), numerous nieces and nephews and their children, Zander, her special rescue Yorkie, and many friends and former patients.
She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Ione, brother John, in-laws Henry and Joyce, and two sheepdogs, Marvin and Winston.
Private services were held. In lieu of donations, the family requests that you perform an act of kindness in Pollie's memory.
