Raymond LeRoy Lachmiller

Raymond “Ray” LeRoy Lachmiller, age 101, of Lake Crystal passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, Rapidan with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Rapidan. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Ray was born April 10, 1921, to Heinrich and Olga (Becker) Lachmiller in Lyra Township-Good Thunder. He attended Rapidan High School through the eighth grade. Ray was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rapidan where he was an elder and trustee. Ray married Jean Arleen (Thompson) on February 24, 1946, and together they had 6 children.

Ray was a lifetime farmer in both Rapidan and Clontarf. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, counting geese on the lake, watching the birds, and westerns.

Ray is survived by his children, Daryl (Lynn), Dale (Karen), Mark, Gail (Jim) Lachmiller Fox, and Jan (Jerret) Thompson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean; daughter, Cheryl; 1 grandchild, and 2 great-grandchildren.
