Robert “Bob” Lee Klesath, 85, passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2026, in the loving arms of his wife, Suz.
Bob was born July 2, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Lewis and Doris (Dalton) Klesath and graduated in 1958 from Abraham Lincoln in Council Bluffs, IA. He married Mary Lou Knotek, and together they had four children: Teri, Bob, Debbie, and Jeff. Family was always central to Bob’s life. He later married the love of his life, Susan “Suz” Bierle Smith.
Bob spent his career in wholesale food distribution and later owned his own business. After moving to Minnesota, Bob became a realtor at Weichert Realty until his retirement. One of his greatest honors was serving twice as Potentate of Tangier Shrine in Omaha, Nebraska. He also loved fishing and spent many summers at Leech Lake in Northern Minnesota, where his final resting place will be.
Bob is survived by his wife, Suz Klesath of Madison Lake, MN; his children, Bob Klesath of Lake Kiowa, TX and Debbie (Dennis) Wademan of Scottsbluff, NE; 10 grandchildren, Jess Knecht of Scottsdale, AZ, Jeff (Chelsea) Regan of Norwalk, IA, Emily (Katlin) Regan of Lincoln, NE, Christian (Melanie) Regan of St. Louis, MO, Jordan (Tanner) Klesath of Honolulu, HI, Dalton (Sammi) Wademan of Spearfish, SD, Dillon (Morgan) Wademan of Scottsbluff, NE, Dakota Wademan of Gering, NE, Danielle Koenig of Grant, NE, and Bruce (Courtney) Klesath of Kearney, NE; 12 great-grandchildren, Greyson, Zander, Eli, and Isaac Regan, Deegan, Jett, and Kieran Klesath, Harper, Juda, Warren, and Quoia Wademan, Audra Koening; in-laws, Randy (Karma) Bierle of Algona, IA, Bob (Debbie) Bierle of Ankeny, IA, Rod (Sharon) Bierle of Fenton, IA, and Deb (Lee) Dreyer of Fort Dodge, IA; nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Teri (Bob) Regan; son, Jeff; his parents; his parents in-law, Roy and Wilma Bierle; 2 nephews, Ryan Bierle and Isaiah Caldwell; niece, Erin Bierle; and extended family.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4-7 p.m., with the Funeral Service, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1 p.m., both at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, North Mankato, MN.
Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
