Robert "Bob" O. Kulseth

Robert “Bob” O. Kulseth, age 89, of Mankato passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Mankato Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior. Livestream will be available on Robert’s obituary at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Bob was born to Oscar and Gladys Kulseth in Mankato MN. Bob graduated from Mankato High School in 1952 where he enjoyed track and won many trophies. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1953 and was honorably discharged and married Darlene DeMars in 1957. Darlene passed away in 1979. Bob worked for Kulseth Construction alongside his dad and brothers for many years. After years of construction Bob went to work for Mankato State University as a Mason. Bob married Beverly Powell in Nashua, Iowa at The Little Brown Church November 5, 1989. Both of their parents where coincidentally married on the same day. Bob was an active member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Mankato and enjoyed volunteering at the Echo Food Shelf. Bob retired from Mankato State University in 1996. Following retirement Bob enjoyed working as a security guard for the Minnesota Vikings training camp. Bob enjoyed spending time with family, had a wonderful sense of humor, a fun-loving personality, and a passion to make people smile.

Robert is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly; children, Susan (Robert) Rauchman, Stacie (Rod Rick) Siebenbruner; stepchildren, Corey Powell, Peggy (John) Mack; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Kulseth, Jean (Harold) Scott, Jackie (Mike) George; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar, and Gladys Kulseth; first wife, Darlene; children, Robert “Tim” Kulseth, Thomas Kulseth and Sara Jeter; granddaughter, Amy Ballinger; siblings, Geraldine Murphy, and William Kulseth.
