Robert “Bob” D. Miller, age 89, of Mankato died peacefully Sunday morning, March 20th, 2022, at home with his daughter, Mary, by his side.

Robert was born July 23, 1932, to Arthur and Elsie (Rodell) Miller in Milaca, MN. He was the youngest of 5 children.  He entered the US Navy in January 1951 and was honorably discharged in December of 1954.  He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Bob was united in marriage to Rosemary Lehar on August 1, 1959, in Fairfax, MN at St. Andrews Catholic Church.  Together they raised their two daughters, Jeanne and Mary.

Bob’s work was always in sales which ended as a 30-year career as a district sales supervisor with Old Dutch Foods, retiring in 1994.  Bob had many accomplishments and successes in life, while remaining humble.

Over the years, Bob enjoyed traveling in his motor homes to various destinations.  In addition, he enjoyed some fishing, golfing, the Minnesota Twins, spending time with family and friends, as well as helping in his daughter’s business, M.J. Rose.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Mary of Mankato; sister, Louella Lentz; brothers-in-law, Jack, Charlie, and Pat Lehar; sister-in-law, Peggy Lehar; nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary in May 1996; daughter, Jeanne in April 2019; brothers, Gordon and Lyle; sister, Shirley Anderson; sisters-in-law, Ruth Miller, Helen Lehar, Barb Lehar, Betty Lehar, and Bonnie Lehar; brothers-in-law, Leo Lehar, Lester Anderson, and Bob Lentz; nephew, Dale Lentz; and great nephew, Andrew Russ.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
