Robert J. Burkey

Robert J. Burkey, age 78, formerly of St. Peter, died August 14, 2025.

A Private Family Service was held with interment in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter.

Robert was born June 21, 1947, to Joseph R. and Helen E. (Hanson) Burkey in St. Paul. Robert attended St. Peter High School. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-67. Robert lived in Tucson, AZ for many years before returning to Minnesota in 2007.

Robert is survived by his three children, Joseph Burkey of Mankato, Shay Kulla of North Mankato, and Patricia Burkey (Ebruz Dinc) of New York, NY; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
