Robert "Butch" A. Loeffler

Robert Loeffler, age 76, of St. Clair, died on March 25, 2026 at Hillcrest HCC with family by his side.

Robert was born December 15, 1949 in Fairmont, MN to Robert and Donna (Riese) Loeffler. He was drafted into the United States Army during Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971. On December 16, 1972, Robert was united in marriage to Roxanne Fitzloff in St. Clair. Togethr they had two daughters. They were later divorced. Robert worked for ADM for 32 years, where he dedicated much of his career. Outside of work he loved fishing, following NASCAR, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Robert is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Petersen and her children, Logan Clark, Keira Petersen, and Sadie Petersen and Heather (Julius) Bangu and their children, Dominik, Dailan, Deandre, and Drea Bangu. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron, Rick, and Randy (Lori); many nieces and nephews; and special neighbor, Kim Laughter. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial service will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Robert’s family would like to thank all the wonderful medical staff that crossed paths and cared for him. Especially towards the end. Hillcrest and St. Croix Hospice, your unwavering support during the difficult times was a beacon of light on our darkest days.
