Robert J. Laven

Robert John Laven, age 91, died March 31, 2026 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William Laven, Sr and Frances (Keinz) Laven; his brothers, William Laven, Jr and Peter Laven; his sisters, Katherine and Delores; and his wife, Margaret (Manske) Laven.

Robert is survived by his sister, Patricia Westin of New Hampshire; brother-in-law, William (Linda) Manske of Montrose, Colorado; nephews, Eric (Shiva) Manske of Indianapolis and Mark (Jennifer) Manske of Madison Lake; and other nieces and nephews.

Robert was born in and attended schools in Mankato. He worked for Kato Transfer/Mayflower for about 40 years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards.

There will be a private burial at All Saints Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake at a later date.
