Robert C. Morrow

88, lifelong Mapleton area resident, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Mapleton Community Home.

Graveside Service 2 p.m., Friday at Beauford – Morrow Cemetery, rural Mapleton, MN.  Olson Tichenor Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Robert was born February 6, 1932 to Archie E. and Laura A. (Chase) Morrow in Mankato.  A 1951 graduate of Pemberton High School, Robert farmed with his father on the family farm.  He was a lifelong member of Medo Baptist Church.

Robert's family home was located across the road from the Beauford Morrow Cemetery.  Robert faithfully cared for the cemetery until he moved to the Mapleton Community Home.  He raised and lowered the flag at the gate to mark remembrances and holidays.  He placed individual flags on the graves of veterans to commemorate Memorial Day.

Robert was a consumer of news. Neighbors enjoyed conversations with him, who was always up to date on community news and world events. His routines were appreciated.  Neighbors could tell the time of day by Robert's daily routines of driving to Mapleton for meals.  The community will miss his friendship and presence.

Robert is survived by friends, preceded in death by his parents.
