Roberta "Birdie" Eggersdorfer

Roberta “Birdie" Eggersdorfer, 82, of Mankato, passed away on September 14, 2025 at her home after battling Alzheimer’s disease. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Northview Mortuary. It will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 PM and visiting will continue until 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume one hour before the funeral Mass. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Roberta was born on October 30,1942 to Robert and Signa (Nordgren) Hoffman in Mankato. She graduated from Loyola High School. She was united in marriage to Dennis Eggersdorfer on June 9,1962 at Ss. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church. They recently celebrated 63 years of married life together.

Roberta was a Title I teacher, a paraprofessional, and a volunteer at Washington, Hoover, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. She loved traveling to new places and loved all events where she could be with her family. Roberta was gentle and kind and a woman of faith.

Roberta is survived by her beloved Dennis. She is also survived by six sons: Brian, Brad (Mary), Bret (Karna), Bruce, Dennis (Janelle), and Ben (Lacey). She is survived by granddaughter Katie, and grandsons Brandon, Bryce (Abbie), Garett (Tommi), and Zach (Roanne). Roberta is also survived by one great-granddaughter, her special joy, Brynne. Roberta is survived by one brother, Robert (Janet) and her brother-in-law, Tim (Kathy) Eggersdorfer. She was preceded in death by her son David, her sister Sue, her brother-in-law Bill Reemer, and her parents.
