SERVICE UPDATE:  During a family ceremony, Sheila will be buried at Glenwood Cemetery with her son Mark Saturday May 18th at noon to be followed by a celebration of life picnic at Sibley Park ( back picnic shelter).

Sheila Ann Johns, age 67, of Mankato, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Mayo Health System Mankato. The family will hold a private burial at a later date, with arrangements being handled by Mankato Mortuary.

Sheila was born on January 19, 1956, in Mankato to Robert and Dolores (Hoffman) Decker. She had a passion for various hobbies including canning, embroidery, blanket making, and word search puzzles. As a planner, she organized and hosted several family gatherings.

She is survived by her son David Johns and his wife Billie of Ogden, Iowa; her daughter Amanda Burger and her husband Randal of Mankato, Minnesota; her grandchildren Devon Johns and Meranda Anton; her three sisters Carol Johns of Hermel, Minnesota, Lynnette Chute of Mankato, Minnesota, Margene Sistrunk and her husband Henry of Mankato, Minnesota; sisters-in-law Nora Decker of Seattle, Washington and Barbara Decker of Richfield, Minnesota; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; her son Mark Johns; her brothers Robert Decker Jr. and Allen Decker; her sister Sandra Gilbertson; and her brothers-in-law William Johns and David Chute.
