Steven Otto Hoffman

Steve Hoffman, age 71, of Rapidan, died on January 9, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Steve was born on February 9, 1954 in Mankato to Melvin and Mary (Gartner) Hoffman. He graduated from Garden City High School. Steve was married to Christine Suserud. They later divorced. Steve was a long-haul truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Minnesota Minn-e-rods, a Minnesota tractor pulling association. He loved working on them and competing at county fairs. Steve loved having family barbecues.

Steve is survived by his children, Amy (Joe) Ostgarden, Jason (Hana) Hoffman, and Jennifer Hoffman; grandchildren, Wyatt and Savannah Ostgarden; sisters, Connie (Bill) Fitzloff and Shirley (Brian) Hall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nathan; and brothers, Dale and Larry.
