Sylvia Jean Compton

Sylvia Jean Compton passed away with her family by her side on August 6, 2020 at her home.

Sylvia was a loving mother to Mary Dmytrasz, Connie Oeffler and Bonnie Compton. She will be dearly missed by her special niece, Gail Sadaka; her sisters, Judy Griffith, Barbara Rieber, Rosie Hruby; and her brothers, Bob Eccles and Cliff Eccles. Sylvia was cherished by her grandchildren, DeAnna (Clint) Stevens, Diane (Bruce) Miller, Joe (Hope) Dmytrasz, Dan Dmytrasz, Jessica Oeffler, Mike (KT) Oeffler, Justin (Tiffany) Oeffler, Ashley Landrum, David (Alyssa) Nelson, Jake (Emily) Nelson, Jared Nelson, and Jon Nelson. She was also abundantly loved by her 21 great-grandchildren.

Sylvia loved her family first. She could be found at family reunions, school events, town celebrations, and Sunday dinners and well, anywhere her family was. She was a bowler for many years. She liked Elvis, baking, and sharing her home with “Muffin.”

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Old Mill Park in Minnesota Lake from 2– 5pm. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
