Terry Neal

Terry Annette Neal, age 75, of Minnesota Lake, MN passed away on the 16th of December, 2025.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, on November 14, 1950, to Thomas Lowell and Peggy (Rickard) Lucile Tucker, Terry Tucker spent much of her childhood living in Georgia and Washington, but southern California is where she was “raised.” Terry graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1968, and soon moved to Texas, followed by New Mexico where she resided more than 30 years. As a single mom raising four children, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Government and Master’s degree in Public Administration from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. She worked as a real estate agent and broker. She was a Veteran’s Administration appraiser, and her love of home ownership led to a passionate career with a large nonprofit housing development organization. She retired to Minnesota in 2011 to be nearer to her sister in Mankato. She kept busy by substitute teaching and serving as an adjunct instructor of Political Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

It must be said Terry loved her family and pets more than anything. She loved reading, comfy slippers, shoes, purses, camping, and baby pigs. However, her favorite thing to do was travel. While road trips were most common as she visited each of the 50 states, she also loved international travel such as trips to South Africa, Ireland, and Scotland.

Married and widowed, Terry is survived by her four children: Tiffany Boudreaux (Mankato), Matthew (Kara) Neal, Lorri Neal (Troy) McClanahan, and John Marcus Neal (Mankato); eight grandchildren: Joshua, Taylor, Mandi, Kamryn, Lillyan, Shiloh, Arabella, and Owen; and four great-grandchildren: Audrey, Isaac, Jaden, and Kairo; two sisters, Linda Gaile Mitchell (South Carolina) and Tami Wilkins (Mankato, one brother, Kenneth (Sondra) Tucker (Texas), aunts, uncles, and numerous very close cousins.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held Saturday, January 24th, 2026, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Floyd Roberts Jr. Pavilion at Land of Memories Park in Mankato. Family and friends are encouraged to drop by to spend time sharing stories, laughter, tears, and memories.
