Thomas John Massop, 63, of Amboy, died January 9, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St. Teresa Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mapleton. Livestreaming will be available at www.mankatomortuary.com.
Tom was born April 6, 1959 to John and Mary Kay (Carey) Massop in Ellendale, Minnesota. He graduated from Mapleton High School in 1978. He married Lynn Schwartz in 1980. They later divorced. On October 2, 2004, Tom married Gina Marie at their home in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota.
Tom worked most of his life in agriculture, most recently at Protein Sources Milling as a grain elevator manager. In his free time, Tom enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, bicycling, Griswold style decorating for Christmas, and especially spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gina; children, Rachel (Mitchel Chauvie) Massop, Caitlin (Eric) Pollestad, Nicole (Ben Pfeil) Olsen, and Christopher Bourdeau; grandson, Turner Pollestad; siblings, Sheila (Joe) Samuelson, Jan (Mike) Samuelson, Peg (Steve) Breiter, Alice (Dan) Germo, Dave (Jan) Massop, and Dale (Tam) Massop; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
